This past Thursday was a game-changer for our Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Northeast Louisiana crew! Â Our volunteers dove deep into a regional training all about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how they affect the kiddos in our care.
Â
Our CASA Coordinators led the group through an eye-opening session with The Brain Architecture Game. Â In this hands-on experience, the aim is to build a brain tower as high and strong as possible. Â Positive experiences like love, support, and encouragement earn building blocks - pipe cleaners and straws. But when life throws curveballs, you only get the pipe cleaner without the straw for support. Â When the stressors of life start piling up, it really puts the brain's foundation to the test.
